-Abhijit Naskar

It is an immense honor to count Abhijit Naskar in the project Love Medicine.

He who calls himself a humanitarian neuroscientist, has already written more than thirty books all filled with innumerable treasures of intelligence, relevance and depth, so that a presentation would be useless, hence, I will mention excerpts of his works, eloquent enough by themselves.

Abhijit Naskar was born in Calcutta, India. Endowed with a prodigal spirit since birth, he has become in autodidact an eminent neuroscientist and advocate of harmony and world peace. With his first book The Art of Neuroscience in Everything, he has become a bestselling author around the world.

Through his books, what he offers us is an incredible odyssey in the human mind and behavior and a powerful scientific philosophy whose sole purpose is to enrich human life through self-awareness. A pioneer in the study of the neuropsychology of religious feelings, a researcher in cognitive and behavioral neuroscience, neurophysiology, and neurotheology, he has contributed immensely at the ambition to break the walls of conflicts of all kinds (religious, cultural, etc. ), for which he is popularly praised as a humanitarian scientist who works tirelessly to lead human civilization on the path of harmony.

He regularly does lectures at various academic and professional institutions and in television programs on topics related to mental well-being and global understanding.

“Science and Religion – why are there so many conflicts between these two? Why do these two distinct feats of the human mind has not yet been able to join hands in the name of harmony? The answer is simple. The conflicts between science and religion still remain in this day and age, because though most people understand what science means, they do not have a clue what religion means – and they do not even have a clue that they do not have a clue.”

– Science & Religion: Why the conflict remain?

“Let your conscience be your scripture and your actions be your religion. Let the humans be your church and compassion be your worship. Let love be your gospel and acceptance be your revelation.”

– Illusion of Religion: A Treatise on Religious Fundamentalism

“We are not divine beings in mortal bodies. We are mortal bodies in pursuit of constructing divine perfection within us.”

―Lord is My Sheep: Gospel of Human

“We are the Gods, who create Gods, and then we turn into worshipers seeking comfort and solace from those Gods that we create. And we do all this, in order to have as much soothing existence as possible.”

―Lord is My Sheep: Gospel of Human

“Scriptures are to religion, what sci-fi comic-books are to innovation.”

―Lord is My Sheep: Gospel of Human

“You do not need to be able to diagnose a patient’s condition right at sight unless you are in the OR, but you must be able to genuinely recognize and realize the worry and weakness in the patient’s mind right from the very beginning. Remember, you will never be a first-class doctor until you learn to have some regard for human frailty.”

―Time to Save Medicine

“The need has finally arisen, for the humans to stand up, in order to make humanity come true, otherwise, we will end up as yet another dying species – and unlike other animal species, we will not die probably of starvation or sickness, rather we will die due to our intellectual stupidity – due to the unrealization of our innate humanity.”

― Time to Save Medicine

“The world doesn’t need more smart doctors, it needs more warm and wise doctors. Be the wisdom yourself – be the warmth yourself, and be the doctor that the doctors have forgotten to be, for it is time to save medicine, to save humanity.”

― Time to Save Medicine

“A doctor should be a clown at heart, a scientist at brain and a mother at conscience.”

― Time to Save Medicine

“Your warmth has more healing power upon the patient than all the medical tools in the world.”

― Time to Save Medicine

“Love each and love all, for love is the only language known to all humanity”

– Saint of the Sapiens
